The risk may not seem to be what we think.ย
In the last few reflections, I have been exploring how our thinking is beginning to change, how this interaction with AI may not be as neutral as it seems, and how emotional intelligence is becoming increasingly important, even if less visible.
As I reflect further, another idea comes to mind. And, it is more of a concern.

It can frame a difficult message. It can soften a response or even mirror understanding. Since AI does this so well, itโs easy to start depending on it.
At first, this feels like support. But over time, something small might start to change.
We might begin to respond without really feeling. We might start communicating without truly engaging or feeling. We could go along with what sounds right, without really paying attention to whatโs actually happening.
Quietly and gradually. The real risk lies in this gradual change in how involved we are.
The worry isnโt so much about the technology, but about what it might tempt us to skip within ourselves.
The effort of staying with a thought or the discomfort of holding an emotion.
I feel that the real question isnโt whether AI will change how we work. The real question is whether we stay actively involved in our own thinking and relationships as this change happens. Or if we slowly become passive users of systems that do it for us.

I will share more thoughts in the next reflection.
